Today's conversation welcomed back Tootie Rinker - this time with her Winchester Rotary hat on - to talk about An International Affair of Food & Wine. The event takes place on Thursday, March 30, 2023, from 6pm til 10pm at Fox Meadow Barn. The beneficiary for this year's event is Wheels for Wellness, so joining Tootie was Ann Lamanna, Chair of their board.

Tootie gave us all the details for the event and talked about the great food & wine guests will experience as well the incredible good works that Wheels for Wellness will be able to provide to those in our community.

An International Affair of Food & Wine will feature international wines and spirits (new this year is Dr. Stoner's Whiskey and Spirits) poured by Kysela Pere et Fils representatives showcasing wineries from around the world, paired expertly with delicacies prepared by premier local chefs. It promises to be a fun, elegant, garden party attire evening that also includes a silent auction and wine pull. You can purchase tickets from any Winchester Rotarian, visit their Eventbrite page by clicking here, or send an email to Tootie.

Wheels for Wellness is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that provides free door-to-door transportation to medical appointments and treatment for those in the region lacking other means of transportation. They serve the City of Winchester and the counties of Frederick, Clarke, Warren, and the northern part of Shenandoah.

Ann explained their name change from Faith in Action to Wheels for Wellness in January 2020, and told us a few stories about her experiences as a volunteer driver. You can learn more about their organization, how to apply for services, or become a volunteer on their website: https://www.wheels4wellness.org

She also told us about their fundraiser, Tablescapes that happens on Sunday, April 23, 2023, from 2pm - 5pm at Millwood Station Events Center. Click here to purchase tickets.
