We pre-recorded today's conversation via Zoom with Karen Poff, Senior Extension Agent for Family and Consumer Sciences with Virginia Cooperative Extension based in Warren County, but serving all five surrounding counties. Karen also manages the Northern Shenandoah Valley Financial Education Program which provides financial education primarily through informal workshops and classes.

Karen has been a guest on the show numerous times to discuss various topics, including financial education. Personally, I always have a money question for her. Today, we discussed the workshops she's been offering since the beginning of the pandemic: Coping with a Money Crunch. We talked about attendance at those events and how she's considering some changes in 2021 to effectively reach more people. Karen explained that many people do not realize the resources offered by the extension office regarding financial education and even offered some examples of money questions she's answered for those in our area.

If you'd like to give Karen some input, ask a financial question, register for an upcoming webinar, or even become a volunteer, follow/message her on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/nsvfinancialeducation/
