As part of our new series, Educating the Valley, we were in the studio with *Greg Drescher, Superintendent of Warren County Public Schools. Greg gave us an overview of the school system; told us about many of the programs offered to students as young as just a few months; and he provided an update on capital projects. We discussed the current budget season and the high priority and reasoning behind increasing teacher salaries within the district. Our conversation continued after the show aired and you can hear the entire conversation here. For more information about anything we discussed today, visit their website: http://www.wcps.k12.va.us/ While today's conversation was on-air, it's part of a larger, ongoing podcast series as well. You can join me for conversations with school superintendents from the surrounding six counties, with local teachers about their programs, with students about their projects, with athletes about their competitions from private schools, public schools and colleges.
