We pre-recorded today's conversation via Zoom with Dr. David Switzer, a board certified family medicine physician with Valley Health Page Memorial Hospital Family Medicine | Luray to bust a few COVID-19 myths and talk about the importance of wearing a mask to prevent the spread of the deadly virus. Dr. Switzer answers questions about why we should wear masks, the types of masks that are effective (or not), and explained the risks for someone wearing a mask encountering someone who isn't. He also busted several myths featured in an upcoming issue of Valley Health's HealthLINK magazine: COVID19 Mythbusters We talked about the safety of people with respiratory illnesses such as COPD, plus he offered several tips as we wrapped up for ways, in addition to wearing a mask, that you can protect yourself from the virus.
