We were in the studio today with Sari Carp, Joan Comanor from the Lord Fairfax Soil & Water Conservation District and Amanda Scheetz to talk about their new organization: Sustainability Matters. Sustainability Matters is a new collaborative: individuals and organizations working together for sustainability oriented education and community building. Their themes include gardening, nature conservation, environmental awareness and animal welfare. Partners include non-profits, town & county governments, public libraries and museums. Sustainability Matters programs currently span 5 counties, in an arc from Berryville to Harrisonburg.
