The State of Business in Frederick County During the COVID-19 Pandemic

We recorded our conversation with Patrick Barker, Executive Director of the Frederick County Economic Development Authority via Zoom to discuss the current state of business in Frederick County. We discussed how many larger industries in our community have pivoted in several ways to create products to assist in the treatment and prevention of COVID-19. We also talked about the community's support of local small businesses, restaurants and the impact the virus is having on economic development and what recovery might look like. Patrick explained that while the pandemic has had an impact on the local economy, the state of business in Frederick County is strong and he expects positive outcomes once we're on the other side of this pandemic.
