Our conversation today for Tourism Tuesday - Winchester/Frederick County edition - with Justin Kerns from Winchester/Frederick County Convention & Visitors Bureau featured Allison Ritter, owner of The Tea Cart. We recorded our chat at their new location in Old Town Winchester.

Allison told us a bit about The Tea Cart which currently operates a tearoom in Berryville. She explained the many opportunities that will come with the second location at the Old Water Street Inn located at 217 W. Boscawen Street. The first-floor space will allow them to host larger groups for afternoon tea as well as smaller, more intimate groups in any one of the individual rooms upstairs. There are outdoor spaces to enjoy that include a patio and porches. Allison gave us an overview of what to expect when coming for tea and talked about the experiences that many travel several hours to have. We talked about her need for additional staffing as well as the types of food offered during their tea time.

The Tea Cart at the Old Water Street Inn will be open Thursday - Sunday offering afternoon tea at 11am and 2pm sittings. The Berryville location will remain open and continue to offer the same experiences including the monthly themed teas.
