We were in the studio for The Valley Business Today - Top of Virginia Regional Chamber edition - with Danita Roble, Director of Membership for the Top of Virginia Regional Chamber and her guest, Keighley Gore from Gore's Meats. They were recognized as last year's Small Business of the Year at the Greater Good Awards dinner. This year's dinner will be held on Friday, January 25, 2019 at the Clarion Inn & Conference Center in Winchester. It is sponsored by Valley Health. You can get more details about how to nominate someone and purchase tickets for the event here: We talked about the award categories this year, including 2 new ones: Emerging Leader and Chamber Volunteer of the Year, along with how to nominate someone, where to find the nomination forms and the requirements to be considered. Danita also told us about the awards dinner and some new things that are being added to the celebration this year. We discussed the important role that small businesses play in our local economy, plus Keighley told us what winning the award has meant to her team at Gore's Meats and gave us an update on products they offer at their new location in Stephens City.
