We were in the studio today with Liz Trumbull, Station Manager at Royal Broadcasting (The River 95.3FM/SportsRadio 1450AM) to talk about the recognition and awards the station recently received at the Virginia Association of Broadcasters 80th Annual Summer Convention at Virginia Beach, VA. Winners included: Best Documentary or Public Affairs Program: REC - Saving Money on your Electric Bill Outstanding Feature Reporting: LFCC’s QEP: Fake News Outstanding News Series: Traffic Safety with Lt. Warren Gosnell We were also finalists for: Best Human Interest Series: Rock 4 Relief (Hurricane Relief: PSO) Best Public Service/Community Event : Camping for Hunger Outstanding Sports Coverage: Shenandoah University Basketball – Mike O’Dell
