Today's Tourism Tuesday conversation took place at Barns of Rose Hill with Executive Director, Sarah Ames and Martha Reynolds, Marketing & Outreach Coordinator.

The pair gave me all the details for their new exhibit "World of Wood" on display from January 14 through February 25, 2023. It will highlight the art of woodworking. Featuring fine furniture, sculpture, and unique creations by local wood craftsmen from throughout the region, visit the exhibit from noon to 3:00 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday. An artist reception will be held from 1pm - 3pm on January 14 where local craftsman, Jeff Headley, will present: 100-Year Family Business of Building and Restoring Furniture in the Shenandoah Valley. While demonstrating the construction of a Shenandoah Valley Chippendale chest of drawers, Headley will discuss his continuing family business and some of their clients, including Colonial Williamsburg, Mount Vernon, and even The White House! The event is free to attend but registration is requested. You can do that here:  https://app.donorview.com/9V8Ko.

Martha gave us an overview of several musical performances that are happening January through March and talked about the types of music and unique experience you will enjoy. You can find the full schedule and purchase tickets on their website: https://barnsofrosehill.org/

We also talked about documentary film showings, trivia nights, and a celebration for the Town of Berryville. Stay up to date on all the happenings at Barns of Rose Hill by following them on Facebook.
