Our conversation with Tyler Hinkle, Shenandoah County's Planner is part of an ongoing series following the work on Shenandoah 2045 - Shenandoah County's comprehensive plan. The planning process will unfold over the course of four years with the majority of the community collaboration occurring from 2020-2022, with input in 2023-2024.
Joining us to talk about the role of the Northern Shenandoah Valley Regional Commission was Amanda Kerns. Amanda also serves as the planner for Toms Brook. She gave us an overview of the NSVRC and told us about a few local and regional projects they're working on. We talked about her role as the planner for Toms Brook and how she works with not only the county, but surrounding localities as well.
Tyler explained the importance of engagement AND involvement and told us what to expect in the coming months. The survey will remain open through Friday, September 9, 2022.
