Our Tourism Tuesday conversation with Kary Haun from Shenandoah County Tourism landed us at Swover Creek Farm Brewery to chat with Lynn & Dave St. Clair about the brewery.
Dave told us how they converted old family barn/loafing shed into their farm brewery and gave us some insight into how and why they decided to brew full time. We talked about growing hops and a collaboration with Box Office Brewery & Woodstock Brewhouse to create a beer for the 250th celebration of Shenandoah County. The beer will be available at all three breweries.
Lynn gave us the rundown of all the other things you can do when you come to enjoy the brewery. They offer pick your own blueberries, black/red raspberries and blackberries throughout the season. The brewery is also pet friendly with a secure dog park.
We discussed the wood fired pizza oven and Lynn explained that their food offerings all come from local sources including the 10 different types of smoked sausages they offer.
