We recorded our conversation for Traffic Safety Thursday at Frederick County Public Safety Building with Lt. Warren Gosnell from the Frederick County Sheriff's Office.
We talked about the school year ending soon and the need for drivers to be more aware that children will be playing in or near streets in their neighborhoods throughout the day and evening. He also reminded us that once school is on summer break that school zone speed limits will also be on break.
We discussed motorcycle safety and what happens if someone mowing their lawns damages a passing vehicle with a projectile from their mower.
Finally, we talked about DUI prevention. Lt. Gosnell explained a few scenarios for disaster and offered suggestions for how to avoid them.
