We pre-recorded our conversation today with Cindy Moody & Joanne Poplar from Narrow Passage Daughters of the American Revolution to learn about the role their organization will play in the partnership with Wreaths Across America to put wreaths on veterans' headstones in 2 Shenandoah County cemeteries.

Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Woodstock, Virginia, will be joining in the effort to support the mission to Remember, Honor, Teach, as an official location for 2021. This is the FIRST year that the cemetery will participate in this national event.

This year, there will be more than 2,500 participating locations placing wreaths on National Wreaths Across America Day – Saturday, Dec. 18, 2021 – with more than two million volunteers coming together.

The goal for Narrow Passage Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, is to raise enough funds to place 75 veterans’ wreaths on the headstones of all the local heroes laid to rest there, to ensure that the individuals who served to protect the freedoms of our country never be forgotten and to bring the community together in patriotic commemoration.

Those interested in volunteering for Wreaths Across America, or sponsoring a wreath for Mt. Zion Lutheran Cemetery and St. Luke Lutheran Cemetery are invited to visit https://www.wreathsacrossamerica.org/pages/167533 to learn more.
